*Viggo Pedersen was one of Denmark’s early and loved impressionists. Inspired by major European artist’s such as P.C. Skovgaard, Janus La Cour, Rémy Cogghe, P. Gauguin, G.F. Clement, M. Ballin, and van Gogh; Pedersen was one of the early Danish artist’s to embrace the modern impressionistic and expressionistic movement.

He is predominantly known for his vivid landscapes and genre paintings. His works today adorn the halls of some of the finest museums and castles throughout Scandinavia, and private collections throughout the world.
